Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Sales Engineer - Life Sciences covering the UK and Ireland working within the North East European Robotics Region.

  • Responsible for the maintenance and development of Sales activity associated with Life Sciences in the defined geographic area.
  • Establishing initial identification, technical specification and development of robotic opportunities within Customers, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s), End Users (EU’s) and Systems Integrators (SI’s).
  • Increase the Stäubli market share across Life Sciences market.
  • Formulate and implement a development plan for the allocated geographic area.
  • Achieve Sales targets as agreed with the Manager of Sales Life NEE.
  • Sell and promote the full-range of Stäubli Robotics Division.
  • Ensure that all opportunities and initial technical specifications are processed efficiently; making sure these are followed up in a timely manner.
  • Update all Sales activities in the Company CRM system in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct regular market research including analysis of both Customers and Competitors to ensure an up to date awareness of the market and potential opportunities.
  • Attend relevant Industry Trade Shows/Conferences when required.
  • Work in collaboration with the wider Robotics Division.
  • Attend and participate in Sales and Divisional Meetings.
  • Actively coordinate with other Divisions (FCS & ECS)

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of successful B2B sales experience in robotics, industrial automation, control technology, special-purpose machine manufacturing, or a related technical sales environment.
  • Knowledge of Life Science applications, markets and customer requirements is essential.
  • Solid technical understanding in the field of robotics or industrial automation.
  • An existing network of contacts within industry EU’s, OEM’s and SI’s with an understanding of their push, pull and pain points are.
  • Confident use of CRM systems and common MS Office applications
  • Team player with the ability to work independently, including self-management of travel schedules, customer appointments, sales pipeline development and territory planning.
  • Driven and dynamic individual.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • A full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
  • Additional Information

Ideally we would prefer if candidates live centrally within the UK i. e. East or West Midlands as a guide so that you are within a reasonable distance to our Telford Office.
