We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our existing team supporting our Robotics Division. This role will involve both working from our Telford Office and providing coverage for Customers throughout the UK & Ireland. The main responsibilities for this role will involve:
- Responding to service and breakdown requests with Customers; diagnosing, repairing and troubleshooting on 4-axis & 6-axis robots and associated controllers on a scheduled, emergency or 24/7 basis.
- Completion of Field Service reports on all customer-related activity.
- Liaising with the relevant department in Stäubli France for the return of parts under warranty.
- Basic programming of Robots (Full Training will be provided).
- To be included in the 24/7 on-call rota, which may require response to call outs outside of standard working hours.
- To deliver our maintenance/user training courses as and when required.
We are ideally looking for candidates that are based within a commutable distance to our Telford office.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years automation and/or technical service experience.
- Full valid UK Drivers licence.
- Valid passport (or capability to get a passport) as international travel will be required.
- Willingness to travel 50% - 70% of the time.
- Experience of electrical/electronic and mechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance as well as repair and refurbishment.
- Experience of reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical drawings and related technical documents.
- Good clear communication skills and be comfortable liaising with all levels whilst being able to work with minimal supervision.
