However, data and tech are only half of the package. We need great people to fuel the engine. We are seeking a high‑calibre Newly Qualified Group Reporting Accountant to join our Group Finance function. This role is ideally suited to individuals who have recently completed their ACA/ACCA qualification - most likely from an external audit background who are looking for their first move into industry. You will play a key part in the Group’s monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting cycles, supporting consolidation, technical accounting, statutory reporting, process improvement and controls. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your strong technical foundation in a fast‑moving, complex and high‑visibility group environment.
Responsibilities:
- Group Reporting & Consolidation: Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual Group consolidated results under IFRS. Prepare analysis of subsidiaries financial results, ensuring accuracy, completeness and consistency. Prepare consolidation adjustments for review and implementation by the Head of Group Reporting. Support improvements to consolidation models and reporting structures.
- Statutory Accounts & Audit Support: Support preparation of Group and entity statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local requirements. Prepare audit support schedules and liaise with external auditors. Assist in technical queries raised during the audit process.
- Technical Accounting: Prepare first-draft technical accounting analyses for complex and non-routine transactions (including leases, revenue, impairments, and business combinations) for review by the Head of Group Reporting. Support maintenance and development of the Group Accounting Manual. Keep up to date with changes in IFRS and assess their impact on the Group.
- Financial Controls & Process Improvement: Assist with periodic Balance Sheet and financial controls reviews. Help support the strengthening of the Group’s financial control environment, including documentation and compliance. Identify opportunities for automation, simplification and efficiency gains across reporting processes.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal and local finance teams to ensure accuracy and alignment in reporting. Support ad hoc finance projects such as system enhancements, M&A integrations, group reorganisation, and data‑quality initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong experience auditing consolidated groups, international businesses, or complex entities is highly desirable.
- Strong technical knowledge and solid understanding of IFRS (particularly consolidation, financial instruments, revenue, leases).
- Confident working with large datasets and comfortable with Excel.
- Experience with ERP or consolidation tools is helpful but not essential (training will be provided).
- Newly qualified ACA/ACCA.
