Position Overview
The Vice President of IT will be a strategic and operational leader responsible for driving IT excellence across Stats Perform’s global ecosystem. Reporting to the SVP of IT Services, this executive will oversee enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, service operations, and end-to-end video operations — a critical enabler of our real-time sports media delivery. The role emphasizes value creation, cost efficiency, and organizational streamlining to support scale, innovation, and world-class service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- IT Strategy & Leadership
- Collaborate with the SVP of IT Services to define and execute a forward-looking IT strategy aligned to enterprise objectives.
- Drive transformation of the IT operating model to reduce complexity, streamline execution, and align with strategic business priorities.
- Lead high-performing teams across infrastructure, operations, service delivery, and media technology.
- Video Operations Oversight
- Provide executive oversight of video operations infrastructure, including live ingest, processing, encoding, and distribution workflows.
- Partner with broadcast, content, and engineering teams to ensure video systems are scalable, reliable, and aligned with real-time business needs.
- Optimize video platform performance, latency, and uptime to support global rights holders, broadcasters, and digital platforms.
- Value Creation, Cost Reduction & Team Optimization
- Identify and execute initiatives that reduce IT and video operations costs, enhance ROI, and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Lead organizational restructuring and process reengineering to ensure agile, lean, and fit-for-purpose delivery teams.
- Implement automation, standardization, and vendor consolidation strategies to boost productivity and reduce TCO.
- Infrastructure & Operations
- Oversee hybrid cloud infrastructure, enterprise systems, and global network operations.
- Ensure IT service availability, performance, and capacity planning through robust monitoring and proactive incident management.
- Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Collaborate with InfoSec to ensure comprehensive threat management, data protection, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Embed security by design across all IT and video platforms.
- Service Delivery & Support
- Lead global IT support and service delivery teams with a focus on SLAs, user experience, and continual improvement.
- Mature ITSM capabilities and drive service excellence through KPI-driven management and process discipline.
- Cloud & Digital Transformation
- Drive cloud modernization strategies across AWS, Oracle Cloud, and related platforms to support digital innovation and scale.
- Champion DevOps, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD practices to accelerate delivery and improve quality.
- Vendor & Financial Management
- Manage enterprise vendor relationships and large-scale contracts across IT and video infrastructure providers.
- Own the global IT budget, with a strong focus on cost control, transparency, and delivering measurable business outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including 5+ years in a VP or executive role.
- Experience overseeing video operations, media platforms, or broadcast technology environments is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in reducing IT operating costs, restructuring teams, and driving service innovation.
- Expertise in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud transformation, and enterprise systems.
- Demonstrated success leading global service delivery, support, and vendor management initiatives.
- Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; industry certifications are a plus (CISSP, ITIL, AWS).
