Job Purpose: Not limited to but including:
- Supervise our global network of Tennis Data Collectors who gather our data directly from the venue at WTA events to deliver a high-quality product
- Conduct official data collection duties onsite at WTA events to the highest standard
- Deliver and implement consistent training procedures that maintain a high-quality network
- Operational responsibility for the planning and delivery of all WTA events as per the annual schedule and delivering to KPIs
- Ensure our operational coverage targets are met and delivered to budget
- Participate in software testing and additional projects where required
- Focus on cost efficiency within your network delivering coverage in the most optimal way
- Maintain a focus on the well-being and engagement of yourself and your freelance data collection team under company guidelines
- Support our wider Fast Data Operations teams and sports collection where required
Your role involves the supervision and coordination of our Tennis Data collectors who are responsible for collecting all official data from the WTA tour. Previous experience in supervising people is not required. It is the perfect role for tennis enthusiasts open to a dynamic work environment and available for frequent travel from one tournament to another.
As Tennis Operations Specialist you are responsible for a global team of Tennis Data Collectors in Fast Data Operations. Your main task is to deliver and implement consistent training and recruitment procedures that maintain a high-quality Data Collector network. Furthermore, you will be expected to travel to WTA events on an ongoing basis and manage our onsite Data Collectors, perform data collection duties and work with other stakeholders to ensure a smooth delivery of the events.
Additionally, you will ensure we have local strategies in place to manage risk, integrity, and Data Collector well-being. You will manage all communication to your network ensuring they are fully aware of changes in procedures, processes, coverage, and the overall purpose of Data Operations. You will regularly review the operational structure to efficiently collect the required content and continuously launch initiatives to meet KPIs and improve the performance of the network.
