Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end business-casing & negotiations for global Audio-Visual and Data Wagering and Media rights.
  • Work closely with the Global Sales team to ensure rights acquisitions are commercially viable and aligned with the specific demands of our business strategy, clients, and prospects.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for commercial managers & executives at major Sports Governing Bodies, to ensure partnership success.
  • Coordinate with our Integrity & Legal teams to ensure all rights are acquired and distributed in full compliance with local regulations and governing body integrity standards.
  • Management of a portion of a significant rights budget, ensuring optimised spend across the portfolio.
  • Act as a bridge between Rights and internal teams, to ensure relevant colleagues are aware of movements within the global rights landscape, and potential resulting opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in sports rights acquisition, specifically within the wagering, gaming, and media sectors.
  • Experience successfully navigating and closing complex high-value deals in high-pressure & global environments, with a history of delivering measurable commercial growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate the competing priorities of Sales (revenue), Legal (risk), and Integrity (compliance).
  • Deep understanding of the sports wagering, media, and data sectors.
  • Ability to interpret and provide direction on complex contractual frameworks and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • An existing network of high-level decision-makers within major global sports leagues, federations, and the wagering & broadcast industries.
  • A strong understanding of video & data operations and collection workflows.
  • Experience managing rights across diverse jurisdictions, with a nuanced understanding of varying regional wagering and media landscapes.
