Business Intelligence & Insight Specialist – United Kingdom What you'll be doing…. You are joining a growing business intelligence team who function as an independent unit responsible for end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of external customer reporting. Named the business' "Most Innovative Team" in 2020, this branch of the larger Business Intelligence and Insights group primarily utilize Tableau and Qlik to develop and maintain these reports. In your role as a Business Intelligence & Insights Specialist, you will manage a portfolio of customers from intake through production to ensure that they receive reporting that provides efficiency, transparency, and actionable insights. Your primary source data will be Stats Perform\’s own data. What we need from you… Analytics Design and Implementation: Ingest data from a variety of data sources, including APIs, and perform required transformations in a native analytics query editor (Tableau, Qlik) – ability to utilize SQL at various project stages Publish reports via the appropriate service, managing them through distribution of apps and monitoring usage/data refreshes/security access Create and manage automated solutions using scripting languages Identify, design, and implement sustainable internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes Customer Experience and Management: Develop a deep understanding of the addressible market for sports reporting-as-a-service Contribute prior experience working with external customers in a B2B environment to design successful programming As appropriate, incorporate visual navigation features (e.g., bookmarks, drill-through) to guide customers through a compelling data-driven story Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and communicate your analysis and findings in a concise and technically accessible way What skills & experience you'll bring to us… 2+ years of formal professional experience in analytics or business intelligence, specifically incorporating aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly front-end development and UX/UI design in Tableau and/or Qlik Experience with a range of Tableau products (including Cloud, Desktop, Server, Prep, Bridge, Data Management, etc.) or Qlik (specifically Sense, NPrinting) Experience in designing ETL processes including knowledge of data warehousing strategies and theories Intermediate to advanced understanding of dimensional modelling (Star / Snowflake Schema) Ability to both optimize your own report performance as well as audit existing reports for optimization opportunities Clear track record of forward-thinking and contingency planning, with a recognized ability to support and prioritize multiple projects Professional curiosity about the field, including familiarity with top resources and emerging innovations in analytics reporting IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAD THESE DESIRABLES TOO Deep knowledge of one or more of the following sports: basketball, soccer, cricket Experience working closely with product management on a similar external reporting product Experience working with external customers in a B2B environment Experience working on an Agile development team High degree of comfort with the Atlassian suite, specifically Jira and Confluence Stats Perform is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
