To carry out product-line responsibilities of workshop duties to ensure the timely preparation of customer job orders and completion to a high-quality standard of routine workshop activities.

Main Responsibilities

  • To survey, disassemble, repair, evaluate, assemble and test tools / equipment
  • To standards / procedures set out by STATS Ltd & STATS customers / clients.
  • Work to and maintain a high standard of quality to the STATS products and services.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times to protect all colleagues, visitors and clients on site.
  • To carry out the movement of material / equipment within the shop area.
  • To ensure that all defects to material, components or equipment are reported to the Workshop Supervisor.
  • Ensure all relevant drawings, procedures and instructions are to the latest revisions, prior to work commencing.
  • Aid in the proposal and introduction of new assembly and testing techniques to improve productivity or safety.
  • To liaise with Level 2 & 3 Technicians and the Workshop/Assembly & Test Supervisor on any issues arising.
  • To report any environmental and health & safety issues that arise.
  • To work within STATS standards and company procedures at all times.
  • Involved in Environmental, Health & Safety issues.
  • Any other duties required by the Workshop/Assembly & Test Supervisor.
  • Liaison with the Workshop/Assembly & Test Supervisor and Workshop Technicians on any material, customer / project issues.

Individual Quality and Safety Responsibilities:

  • To comply with STATS and Client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.
  • Ensure all accidents / incidents / near misses / hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperwork is completed.

Experience / Competence / Skills / Knowledge

  • Familiar with pressure equipment / piping and hazards of working on pressurized systems.
  • Must have completed and passed the Level 1 and 2 internal technical training.
  • Must be able to pass the STATS pre-employment physical tests.
  • Must have worked in an industrial/mechanical environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude skills and excellent communication skills; able to work independently and/or as part of a team.
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the position.

Qualifications

  • A Level 1 employee shall be able to work independently on activities that the person is qualified to perform.
  • A Level 1 employee shall not perform any supervision activities.
