Role Overview
As a Hire Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the hiring and management of equipment and machinery for our projects. Your expertise in logistics and customer service will play a crucial role in ensuring that our team has the necessary resources to complete projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and processing site requests by email & phone
- Processing hire orders, ensuring smooth and efficient transactions
- Build and maintain relationships with our customers and suppliers
- Provide expert advice on hire equipment and services
- Work closely with internal teams to maximise internal plant utilisation & operational efficiency
- Cross-hiring and sourcing equipment from third-party suppliers when our own stock is not available
- Scheduling transport requests with the in-house transport team
- Providing comparisons on high-value hires
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience as a Hire Controller or in a similar role within the construction or engineering sector.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
