Overview
In this role you lead end‑to‑end procurement for major UK/Ireland renewable projects across onshore wind, solar, BESS and related equipment. You shape contracting strategies with engineering and project management, run tendering and supplier negotiations, and ensure on‑site contract execution and risk control. You’ll build strong supplier relationships and coordinate cross‑functional input to align with group category strategies. Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end procurement for major UK/Ireland projects from development to close out
- Define contracting strategies and shape technical and commercial scopes with engineering and project management
- Manage tendering, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and contract award for equipment and construction services (BOP/EPC/Grid/main equipment packages)
- Ensure contract execution including change control, claims management, risk mitigation and on‑site follow‑up
- Build and maintain strong supplier and contractor relationships in key markets
- Coordinate cross‑functional input across engineering, sustainability, legal, HSE, finance and project teams
- Align project procurement activities with Group Category strategies and contribute to process improvements
Key requirements
- Experience in large, complex energy or infrastructure procurement
- Proven contract management expertise during construction/execution phases
- Strong commercial and legal background; familiarity with EPC, BOP/BOS, NEC, FIDIC or similar contracts
- Familiarity with UK/Irish and/or other global supplier markets
- Understanding of supply chains, manufacturing, logistics and cost drivers
- Degree in engineering, business or related field
- Fluent in English
- Experience with procurement platforms (Jaegger) is an advantage
