The business area European Wind and Solar (E) is responsible for development and ownership of wind and solar assets in Europe, including project execution of large projects, group procurement function, and development of new business opportunities.
We are currently looking to recruit a Solar / Wind Project Manager to strengthen the business area’s Project Delivery Unit. The team is responsible for the project execution of large-scale infrastructure renewable projects of onshore wind, solar and battery storage across UK / Ireland.
As a Project Manager, you will lead the successful delivery of solar and wind projects from pre-construction through to completion by:
- Managing project scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk.
- Coordinating internal teams, consultants, contractors and key stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with HSE, environmental, permitting and anti-corruption requirements.
- Providing project reporting, governance, documentation and progress updates to senior management.
- Leading tendering and procurement activities, including BoP contracts.
- Coordinating technical design inputs and overseeing site activities as required.
- Using Statkraft systems for project controls, contracts, safety, risk and financial management.
- Supporting continuous improvement and contributing to the wider renewable energy project delivery team.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience delivering renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure projects through construction.
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies, particularly wind, solar and battery energy storage projects.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts and project delivery from development to operations.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project (or equivalent), SharePoint and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate risks, recommendations, and project updates clearly.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
