At Statista, we’re all about facts and data, for we are the world's leading business data platform. By providing reliable and easy-to-use data as well as various data analytics products and services, we empower people worldwide to make fact-based decisions. Founded in Hamburg in 2007, we have quickly grown into a global company with offices in major cities such as London, New York, Berlin and Tokyo. Our constant growth does not only prove our success, but also keeps creating new development and career opportunities for our employees. We value and celebrate our diverse culture. You are welcome here for who you are, no matter where you come from, what you look like, or whether you prefer bar graphs to pie charts. Your story matters – keep writing it as part of our team.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Head of New Business — EMEA to lead and transform our regional new business function. This is a building role. You will report directly to the VP Sales EMEA and own the EMEA new business strategy, tactical plan, team, and execution of how Statista wins net-new logos across mid-market and enterprise accounts. You will work within Statista’s global commercial strategy while using regional insight to influence the evolution of our global playbooks and policies.

You will inherit a small, capable, and ambitious team — and the mandate to build it into the engine that powers our 2027 growth. You will shape and embed the EMEA playbook, raise the bar, and build a high-performance culture, working in close alignment with our global commercial framework.

What Success Looks Like — First 12 Months

  • Installed a consistent EMEA new-business operating cadence covering pipeline creation, qualification, deal inspection, and forecasting.
  • Built a repeatable mid-market and enterprise acquisition playbook across inbound, outbound, and account-based motions.
  • Raised sales capability through structured coaching and practical adoption of MEDDICC or an equivalent enterprise methodology.
  • Improved pipeline quality, forecast confidence, and economic-buyer engagement across the team.
  • Defined the team structure and hiring plan required to support Statista’s 2027 growth ambitions.

What You Will Own

  • Hiring, coaching, and developing a high-performing new business organisation, including Account Executives and close partnership with SDR leadership.
  • Building and embedding the operating cadence — pipeline reviews, deal inspection, forecast governance — that turns activity into outcomes.
  • Designing and implementing MEDDICC as an operational sales methodology, not a CRM form-fill, and holding the team to that standard.
  • Partnering with Marketing, Revenue Operations, Product, and the Statista Connect team to ensure inbound, outbound, account-based, and partnership motions operate as one commercial system.
  • Growing ARR through net-new acquisition and lifting average contract value through deliberate movement from user-level relationships to economic-buyer engagement.
  • Representing EMEA New Business in our global commercial leadership forums — bringing regional insight, evidence, and recommendations to help shape global strategy, standards, and playbooks.

What We Are Looking For

Experience

  • Significant experience leading B2B new-business teams, with evidence that you have built or materially improved a commercial function and delivered measurable growth.
  • Demonstrable track record of selling across both mid-market and enterprise contexts — comfortable with sub-100k ACV velocity sales and 100k+ ACV multi-stakeholder enterprise cycles.
  • Proven ability to grow ARR and ACV in a comparable B2B SaaS, data, or intelligence platform environment.
  • Practical fluency in MEDDICC, MEDDPICC, or a comparable enterprise sales methodology, with evidence that you have embedded the approach into coaching, deal inspection, and forecast governance.

Capability

  • Built a repeatable pipeline-generation motion across inbound, outbound, and account-based channels.
  • Increased ACV or enterprise mix while protecting sales-cycle discipline.
  • Improved forecast accuracy and pipeline quality through a structured management cadence.
  • Developed managers and reps through live deal coaching and consistent inspection.
  • Built or materially upgraded a sales motion in an environment where the playbook, operating cadence, and cross-functional model were still evolving.

Leadership

  • A hands-on leader — you sit in deal reviews, join customer calls, and coach in the moment.
  • You build cultures where reps learn from each other under a clear standard, not only from you.
  • You influence beyond your direct authority — across Marketing, Product, RevOps, and Hamburg HQ — to shape outcomes that need cross-functional alignment.

Desirable

  • Experience in data, intelligence, research, or information services.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and sales enablement tooling.
  • Experience working across multiple European markets.

Why Join Statista

  • A direct line to the VP Sales EMEA — fast decisions, clear accountability.
  • Real ownership of EMEA new business strategy and tactical execution, within Statista’s global commercial framework.
  • Visibility across global sales leadership and access to Hamburg HQ.
  • The chance to define what ‘good’ looks like for an EMEA function still being built.
  • A product story — Connect, Statista+, AI-ready data infrastructure — that is only getting stronger.

Recruitment Process

  • Shortlisted candidates will move through a structured process:
  • Initial screen with Talent Acquisition.
  • In-depth conversation with the VP Sales EMEA.
  • 90-day strategic plan presentation.
  • Final conversation with the CCO.

Inclusive Application

Statista is committed to building an inclusive workplace and welcomes applications from candidates with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We recognise that strong candidates may not meet every listed criterion. If the role interests you and your experience is relevant, we encourage you to apply.

What we offer

  • Work from abroad up to 30 calendar days a year.
  • Hybrid work and flex-time.
  • International team and social events.
  • Subsidised urban mobility and access to fitness and wellness options.
  • Free access to Langdock and all its amazing functionalities.
  • Career & training opportunities.
  • Attractive locations and modern offices.
  • Mental health support with OpenUp.
