Our client is seeking an experienced Information Security Operations Manager to lead a small, high-performing Security Operations team and oversee critical third-party security relationships. This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for managing, mentoring, and developing a SOC team while ensuring the organisation’s security operations and cloud security posture are robust and resilient.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a small Security Operations Centre (SOC) team, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Own the operational relationship with outsourced security providers, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and delivery of agreed SLAs.
- Oversee day-to-day SOC operations, incident response, and post-incident reviews.
- Implement, maintain, and continuously improve security protocols, processes, and controls.
- Collaborate with internal teams to embed security best practices across technology and business initiatives.
- Apply Azure security expertise to cloud environments, identity and access management, Zero Trust, and related technologies.
Required experience:
- Proven experience in an Information Security Operations or SOC leadership role, including hands-on SOC management.
- Strong track record in managing and developing high-performing teams, including coaching and mentoring security professionals.
- Demonstrable experience managing third-party security providers, including MDR, SIEM, or other outsourced services.
- Solid understanding of cloud security, with a focus on Azure, identity and access management, Zero Trust, SSE, and SASE.
- Strong knowledge of security standards and frameworks, including: PCI-DSS, GDPR, NIST, Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), CIS Critical Security Controls, Cyber Essentials Plus (CEP).
- Experience delivering security operations in complex, fast-paced environments.
