The predicted salary is between 37000 - 44000 € per year.

We are seeking a salaried GP to provide maternity cover for approximately 9 months (starting 6 July 2026). The post is 4-6 sessions per week, ideally Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide face-to-face, telephone and online GP consultations.
  • Manage acute, long-term and preventive care within general practice scope.
  • Perform home visits where clinically appropriate.
  • Review investigations, hospital letters and other correspondence.
  • Prescribe medicines in line with local and national guidance.
  • Make referrals to secondary care and community services.
  • Maintain accurate, contemporaneous and comprehensive clinical records.
  • Participate in the duty/on-call rota and practice meetings within contracted time.
  • Prioritise and manage same-day urgent demand safely.
  • Engage in CPD, appraisal, and contribute to learning for colleagues.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Fully qualified medical practitioner with MBBS or equivalent.
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council.
  • Inclusion on the NHS England GP Performers List.
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD and engagement with annual GP appraisal and revalidation requirements.
  • Experience working in UK general practice or comparable primary care setting.
  • Competence in managing acute and chronic conditions in a community setting.
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency with electronic clinical systems (SystmOne).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to clinical governance and audit.
