We are hiring a Full Stack Developer to join a small, fast-moving development team in Folkestone. Despite the title, this role leans heavily toward front end development and would suit someone who enjoys working on live websites, translating design into production, and improving how a site performs once it's live. This is a hands-on role working on a live ecommerce platform where your work will directly impact user experience, performance and conversion.
The role
- You will be working closely with design and internal stakeholders to take ideas from concept through to production, then continuously improve them based on real user data.
- A big part of the role is taking Figma designs and turning them into clean, responsive, production-ready front end within a C# .NET MVC environment.
- From there, you will help improve how the website performs across UX, page speed, mobile experience and conversion.
- This is not a ticket-driven environment. You will be trusted to take ownership of what you build and how it performs in a live setting.
What you will be doing
- Taking Figma designs and translating them into responsive front end code.
- Building and improving features within a C# .NET MVC environment.
- Improving website performance, page speed and overall user experience.
- Working with analytics and tracking tools (Google Analytics, GTM).
- Supporting A/B testing and conversion rate optimisation (CRO).
- Identifying and resolving issues across the website and user journey.
- Collaborating with design, data and commercial teams to prioritise improvements.
- Supporting integrations, APIs and backend processes where required.
What we are looking for
- Strong front end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience working on live, customer-facing websites (ideally ecommerce).
- Experience working from Figma (or similar design tools) into production.
- Commercial experience working within a C# .NET / MVC environment.
- Good understanding of responsive design, performance and accessibility.
- Experience or exposure to analytics, tracking or website optimisation.
- A proactive mindset and ability to work at pace in a small team.
Nice to have
- Experience with Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager.
- A/B testing or conversion rate optimisation experience.
- Ecommerce or high-traffic website experience.
- SQL Server or data exposure.
- API or integration experience.
The environment
You will be joining a small development team within a growing, technology-driven business. The business operates in the refurbished tech space, with a strong focus on sustainability alongside commercial performance. The environment is fast-moving and hands-on, with less process and more ownership. Your work will be visible and directly impact how the business performs online.
Package
£35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience. Company pension, cycle to work scheme, on-site parking, staff discount. Office-based role (Monday to Friday, 9-5). Hybrid working available longer term once established.
