Governments and policymakers make decisions that shape millions of lives, but they still operate with slow research cycles, fragmented evidence, and expensive consultant reports that often arrive only after programs have launched. We believe AI can help public institutions make better decisions: faster, more evidence-based, more responsive, and more accountable to the people they serve. Our platform helps public institutions synthesize evidence, simulate how policy choices may affect people, budgets, and outcomes before rollout, monitor real-world results, and continuously improve decisions over time.
We closed a $5.7M seed round earlier this year, led by Relentless, with participation from a16z speedrun, Liquid 2, Operator Collective, Entourage, Station F, Plug and Play and others. We are now scaling across the US and Europe and hiring founding team members to help build a new category at the intersection of AI, simulation, public policy, and institutional decision-making.
The role
We’re looking for our first few founding engineers to change the way governments and enterprises write and implement policy. This role is for a generalist engineer, who is interested in our problem space, and wants to have high ownership around problems in an early founding team.
Day To Day, You’ll:
- Build features end-to-end, take ownership over parts of the product. This can range from data pipelines, to setting up cloud infrastructure, to regular full stack features.
- Work directly with policy advisors, civil servants, or legal teams to translate their workflows into software.
Preferred Experience
- 2-5 years software engineering experience, either backend or full-stack.
- Experience building scalable backend infrastructure, proficient in deploying services on GCP/AWS, IaC.
- Worked with clients before, strong communication skills.
- Experience in early-stage startup environments, comfort with ambiguity, ability to scope work without detailed specs.
Nice to have:
- Interest in govtech, policy, or public‑sector consulting.
