The Principal Mixed Signal Design Engineer will mentor ASIC designers, contribute to system-level analysis, and lead the entire cycle of circuit design. They\’ll implement advanced verification methods, optimize analog module performance, and ensure seamless integration of ASIC and MEMS technologies for superior outcomes.

The Principal Mixed Signal Design Engineer will report directly to the Director of ASIC Engineering and is expected to work a total of 40 hours per week from Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Provide mentorship and help supervise ASIC designers
  • Assist in system level analysis and chip overall strategy
  • Provide expertise and guidance in all aspects and the complete cycle of circuit design and development.
  • Define comprehensive tests and implement advanced verification methodologies.
  • Take charge of creating and executing intricate testbenches, analyzing the functionality, and optimizing performance for various analog modules.
  • Drive the debugging process for circuits (pre- and post-layout) to achieve superior performance.
  • Play a key role in post-silicon debug and seamless ASIC/MEMS integration

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • MS in Electronic Engineering. PhD preferred.
  • Extensive experience in designing analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits, including proficiency in circuit concepts and principles.
  • Profound understanding and experience in board design, including schematic capture, layout design, and verification.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise multiple projects, showing effective management and organizational skills.
  • Experience in developing architectures for integrated circuits and systems, including defining requirements and specifications.
  • Proficiency in designing, testing, and debugging analog and mixed-signal circuits to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Knowledge and experience in designing circuits utilizing MEMS-based sensors and oscillators.
  • Proficiency in using simulation tools such as Cadence (Spectre and Hspice), Orcad Pspice, PSIM, Matlab/Simulink for system-level simulations.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Ocean for automating tasks in Cadence environment.
