We have an opportunity for a Team Leader to join our Hygiene department. The role is working Friday to Sunday 17.45 - 06.00. The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively ensuring the hygiene function, as well as being responsible for all hygiene employees on shift to ensure cleaning standards are met and best practice is followed at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and sanitation of production machinery
- Completion of hygiene records
- Carrying out 1st line maintenance and/or repairs on production machinery
- Ensuring the correct cleaning chemicals are used for the cleaning task
- Responsible for all critical control points and checks with no errors and escalating any issues to Team Leader
- Ensure the safe practice of all operations
- Maintain and improve housekeeping and/or good manufacturing practices
- Delegation of tasks and information to team members
- Ensure hygiene targets are met
- Completion of hygiene records and standard verification checks
- Assist with any hygiene related training
- Managing resource and shift allocation
- Managing cleaning rotas
- Ensure cross contamination is not breached
- Conduct shift audits
- Stock control
- Effective shift handovers
- Other adhoc hygiene related tasks
- Adhere to the company’s H&S policies and procedures
Ideally, candidates will have managerial experience in a high-volume production environment, be independent thinkers with strong leadership skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to plan and organise their work to meet deadlines with excellent communication skills. Experience of hygiene and/or industrial cleaning is essential as well as being COSHH trained.
