We are looking for a permanent Security Guard. The role will be working shift patterns; 4 days on and 4 days off across both day and night shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Patrolling Wingates and Firebird sites when appropriate to ensure security presence is recognised, reporting all issues and completing patrol log sheets.
  • Acting quickly during any emergency situation, directing people towards safety and liaising with the emergency services and site engineers.
  • Logging of all visitors/contractors and delivery vehicles.
  • Random bag and vehicle checks.
  • Covering for holidays and sickness within the security team.
  • Accepting and logging all deliveries and contacting relevant managers.
  • Monitoring staff access and egress via swipe turnstile.
  • Monitoring CCTV coverage of the site for unusual activity and reporting.
  • Keeping accurate and up to date records of site activity.
  • Controlling Net2 security access cards - logging forgotten cards and issuing temporary replacement cards and visitor passes.
  • Taking and logging of all external calls between 17:00 and 08:00.
  • Taking, logging and reporting all employee absences within the business.
  • Controlling all flour deliveries to site, checking paperwork and performing flour QA checks.
  • Controlling and booking out all the company pool cars.
  • Sending the agency requirements to the agency provider and booking all agency staff in on site and controlling the log sheets.
  • Punctuality, clean and tidy appearance at all times; this position requires you to be on site before shift turnaround due to handover procedures.
  • Any other task the company deems necessary in line with business needs.
  • Adhering to the company’s H&S policies and procedures.
  • Adhering to the company’s hygiene policies and procedures.

Ideally, candidates will have demonstrable experience within a similar role and hold a relevant qualification such as Security Industry Authority (SIA). The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work as part of a team and have the ability to make on the spot decisions.
