Exciting new role to be part of shaping a brand-new shift! Are you ready to lead from the front and make a real impact? We are introducing a new shift at our new factory, and we need a dynamic Shift Manager to help embed it into our operations. This is an incredible opportunity to take ownership, build a strong team culture, and drive efficiency from day one. This is a full-time, permanent position working an afternoon shift; start and finish times yet to be agreed.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing line and team leaders to maintain high manufacturing standards during pizza production within your areas.
An Overview Of The Role:- Understand and adhere to our Performance Management Systems and demonstrate Stateside Foods behaviours.
- Lead and give direction, ensuring teams have sufficient skills and knowledge to cover all operational areas.
- Ensure equipment is maintained in a safe working order.
- Manage a team of operatives to ensure workload is completed in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Monitor hygiene and housekeeping, promote a clean-as-you-go policy, and ensure all production areas meet the required standards.
- Plan and coordinate holidays and day-to-day operations on your shift.
- Carry out inspections, investigate damages, and report findings to the Line Manager.
- Ensure all staff are trained to the required standards on Production Management Systems.
- Take full responsibility for all material and finished goods movements assigned to your shift.
- Build effective relationships with all departments.
- Ensure a timely and informative shift handover at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks in line with the Production department.
- Adhere to the company's H&S policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the company's hygiene policies and procedures.
Due to the nature of the role, candidates will need to be flexible for alternative shift cover as required. Demonstrable experience in a fast-paced production environment is essential; experience in the food industry is preferred. Ideal candidates will be able to work to deadlines, lead a team, and possess excellent communication skills.
