We have a fantastic permanent opportunity for a Quality Manager to join our Quality Team. The role is working Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00.

Overview of the Role Responsibilities:

  • Business protection via effective management of the site.
  • Review and maintenance of the Quality Management System.
  • Ensure the continuous running and development of the site QA team is carried out by the Senior QA.
  • Ensuring all food safety, quality and legality aspects of production and the products produced are adhered to by various auditing, checking and monitoring procedures/techniques undertaken by the department.
  • Senior member and coordinator of the HACCP systems for the site.
  • Lead site quality audits and visits.
  • Drive a quality culture through the site.
  • Work closely with the Site Factory Manager to ensure decisions/actions are taken to maintain product quality and food safety integrity.
  • Conduct strategic planning to ensure the site continues to move forward at all times.
  • Build and maintain customer relations with retailer counterparts.
  • Maintain BRC standards and customer policy requirements.
  • Implement improvement plans through assessment of data/trends.
  • Reporting of data/trends to other departments/Senior Managers.
  • Ensuring hygiene standards with the production areas are maintained.
  • Artwork approval.
  • Support the Senior QA in the day-to-day management of the QA team.
  • Work closely with the other Quality Manager/Senior Quality Manager to keep them up to date with site issues.
  • Provide support to the rest of the department when required.
  • Project work as and when required.

Ideally candidates will have experience within a food quality/technical role with excellent organisational skills. The successful candidate will hold a degree within a food related discipline or equivalent with HACCP Level 3 and Food Hygiene to an advanced level.
