Cafe Emilia is looking for a passionate and reliable Coffee Shop Chef to join our friendly team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys preparing fresh, high-quality food in a busy café environment.

You will be responsible for cooking and serving breakfast and lunch dishes, maintaining high food standards, and helping to deliver an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items.
  • Follow recipes and food preparation standards.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Assist with washing up, storing supplies correctly, and keeping work areas tidy.
  • Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness standards.
  • Work closely with the Café Manager and front-of-house team to ensure excellent food and service.
  • Contribute ideas for menu development and adapt dishes to meet customer requirements where possible.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including food preparation, cleaning, stock checks, and inventory control.
  • Order food supplies and monitor stock levels.
  • Work efficiently under pressure and meet service deadlines.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous kitchen or chef experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
