We have an opportunity for a Legal Secretary to work as part of a team providing secretarial and administrative support to a group of Partners and designated fee earners in our Litigation team.


This is a full time role, based in our Guernsey office.


Principal Duties Will Include



  • Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the team.

  • Manage diaries, inboxes, correspondence and telephone enquiries.

  • Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements and minute-taking.

  • Maintain case files, records, databases and document management systems.

  • Prepare, format and process legal and business documentation.

  • Support client matters and legal processes under supervision.

  • Assist with billing, budgets, fee estimates, WIP and other financial administration.

  • Conduct conflict checks and support matter management processes.

  • Contribute to projects, team initiatives and knowledge-sharing activities.

  • Undertake additional administrative duties as required.


The ideal candidate will have a good standard of education along with:



  • Previous legal secretarial or personal assistant experience and familiarity with legal documentation and terminology

  • Must be educated to a minimum of GCSE-level (or equivalent)

  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, specifically in Word processing

  • Good typing speeds and accuracy are essential

  • Secretarial / administration qualifications would be advantageous
