Statera Talent is recruiting a Quantitative Researcher for a systematic equity long/short boutique hedge fund in London. Reporting directly to the founder, you will research, build and deploy alpha signals. You'll own the full model flow from hypothesis to production, working across signal research, ML, portfolio construction and infrastructure.
Direct cash equities long/short or equity stat-arb experience required. HFT backgrounds are not a fit.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, test and deploy systematic alpha signals from hypothesis through production
- Contribute to portfolio construction and optimisation, including weighting schemes, risk controls, and regime-aware sizing
- Build and maintain research and production infrastructure, data pipelines, backtesting and execution tooling
- Apply ML methods, including agentic AI, to signal generation, feature engineering and research workflows
- Own work end-to-end in a small, entrepreneurial team across research, engineering and reporting
- 3+ years in a quantitative research role
- Direct equities experience, cash equity L/S or stat-arb
- MSc degree in a numerical discipline.
- Strong Python coding
- Full UK working eligibility required.
