Statera Talent are partnered with a growing challenger bank who is looking to hire an Operational Risk Manager into a broad second line risk role. The core focus is operational risk, but this is not a narrow role. The team also covers areas such as operational resilience, technology risk and third party risk, so it would suit someone who enjoys variety and wants exposure across a wider non-financial risk remit. This is a hands-on position in a growing business with positive plans for the future. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders across the bank and will have the opportunity to help shape how risk is managed as the business continues to develop.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the ongoing development of the operational risk framework
- Working with the business to identify, assess and manage key operational risks
- Facilitating risk and control assessments
- Monitoring and reporting key risk indicators
- Reviewing risk events, control issues and remediation actions
- Supporting risk reporting for senior management and committees
- Providing challenge and guidance to business areas on risk and control matters
- Getting involved in broader work across operational resilience, technology risk and third party risk
