State Street IM's EMEA Client Coverage Group (CCG) is responsible for all institutional and intermediary client facing activities including new business development, relationship management, client service and client on-boarding.
In this role you will work within our CCG EMEA Strategy & Operations team. The Strategy & Operations team focus on (1) efficiencies in servicing clients and enhancing the client experience, (2) client contracting and (3) oversight and onboarding of intermediaries. The team works in close partnership with multiple stakeholders across all business units.
Role Summary
This role is a great opportunity for an individual who is confident with the ability to think quickly, be highly organised and is able to work under pressure whilst managing conflicting priorities and stakeholders. You will be responsible for managing and leading the client contracting process for Institutional and Intermediary clients across EMEA. This is to be achieved through managing the client contract lifecycle through its various milestones to include production, dissemination, approval, distribution to clients, execution and filing.
The Senior Client Contracting Analyst will act as a central point between Client Relationship Managers/Onboarding Managers and our internal partners i.e. Portfolio Managers, Investment Oversight, Billing, Client Reporting, Operations, Legal. The aim is to meet and deliver on the agreed requirements within the earliest possible time, enhance productivity and sustain a high quality client-centric approach in addition to demonstrating strong risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- To accurately draft, manage and proactively lead the entire contracting process for all client agreements.
- Manage and co-ordinate all internal partners involved in the contracting process, clearly communicating any contractual documentation changes and ensuring their comments are fully reflected in the contract and requisite approvals are obtained.
- Ensure that the established contracting process is followed using the workflow tool for all contract production to mitigate risk.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all internal partners throughout the pre, mid and post contracting stages.
- Team mailbox and ad-hoc queries management.
- Drive the delivery of a client-centric, relationship building approach to ensure service excellence.
- Actively participate in research initiatives or projects that are requested by the business related to the contracting process.
- Look for continuous improvements, enhancing procedures and implementing them.
Experience and Skills
- Strong investment management client servicing and contracting/para-legal skills and service philosophy required.
- Experience supporting institutional/intermediary clients is highly desirable.
- Good knowledge of the different participants in the fund management business and their roles.
- 7+ years investment management industry experience.
- Track record of managing, building and maintaining strong relationships with internal partners at all levels.
- Confident with excellent attention to detail, ability to manage multiple moving events, whilst ensuring accuracy and well organised.
- Strong control/risk mitigation mentality with the judgment to escalate when necessary.
- A demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills with both internal and external clients at all levels and regions.
- Ability to operate efficiently and effectively to tight deadlines and to prioritise own work.
- Strong team player.
