The Operational Resilience Risk Manager, Vice President is responsible for embedding the Firm's Operational Resilience Policy in alignment with corporate objectives and directives. This role will partner with business lines and functional areas across the organization to achieve the Firm's operational resilience risk objectives and to support the execution of the Enterprise Resilience Office strategy. The role provides effective oversight and challenge of operational resilience building blocks to ensure compliance with corporate policy requirements and applicable regulatory expectations. The position will support global legal entities in adopting the Corporate Operational Resilience Program and meeting local regulatory deadlines.
The individual is expected to maintain deep knowledge of operational resilience industry best practices and global regulatory guidance, participate in relevant industry forums, and ensure internal policies and standards remain current. The role also holds responsibility for specific resilience domains, such as Third Party Risk, and requires strong subject matter expertise in end-to-end Critical Business Service delivery, including identification of critical dependencies and supporting infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Supports development and execution of a strategy for achieving an efficient and effective operational resilience oversight across corporate and regions.
- Represent SME SLOD resilience risk management in Governance and advance the Operational Resilience SME presence in the organization.
- Provide support on Resilience matters including periodic updates in Governance forums on the execution progress of the Corporate Resilience oversight program.
- Conduct execution of the Resilience Scenario Analysis program including supporting the review and challenge of Alternative Action Plans and Contingency Plans.
- Provide SME knowledge in developing a Second Line Reporting on Vulnerabilities and support its automation leveraging technology capabilities such as PowerBi or AI.
- Support design and implementation of second line reporting of the Firm's Resilience Profile in collaboration with ERM India reporting function.
- Support the ongoing evolution of STT Non-Financial Risk practices through resilience embedment.
Technical Competencies
- Extensive knowledge and experience of Operational Risk Management with knowledge of Business Continuity programs and Third Parties risk management practices a plus.
- Knowledge of financial industry products (Critical Business Services).
- Knowledge of methodologies to analyze resilience capabilities and vulnerabilities of a given product.
- Ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable plans for the Organization.
- Extensive quantitative/data analysis capability to support and challenge the impact analysis assessment and calibration of the impact tolerance thresholds.
- Experience in developing strategies and strategic risk management.
- Ability to interact and challenge critical business service executive management in relation to the resilience risk management of their service delivery.
- Ability to present and challenge in executive level governance committees, including Board level.
- Experience in effectively engaging with Regulators and internal/external Auditors.
- Ability to understand industry maturity levels in the Operational Resilience space and relay relevant information internally.
Qualifications
- At least 15 years Risk Management experience in financial services with particular experience across operational resilience and third party risk.
- Wide-ranging knowledge of the financial industry in particular, in depth knowledge of global regulatory requirements for Operational Resilience.
- BA degree or equivalent experience.
