Position Summary

The Security Master & Data Management Officer supports Alpha implementations and middle-office onboarding activities by coordinating Security Master (SMF) and Data Management deliverables throughout the client conversion lifecycle.

The role partners with clients, product teams, conversion teams, and operational stakeholders to support data onboarding, mapping, testing, conversion readiness, and production implementation activities.

The Officer serves as a subject matter resource for Security Master and reference data processes, helping to drive project deliverables, manage risks and issues, and ensure successful conversion outcomes across multiple client engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Security Master and Data Management activities throughout the implementation and conversion lifecycle.
  • Support client onboarding efforts by gathering requirements, facilitating data analysis, and assisting with solution design and data mapping activities.
  • Work closely with Product SMEs, Conversion Managers, Technology, and Operations teams to ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved.
  • Assist in the development and review of mapping specifications, conversion extracts, and testing plans.
  • Support dry runs, dress rehearsals, cutover activities, go-live events, and post-production stabilization.
  • Track project risks, issues, dependencies, and action items, escalating concerns as appropriate.
  • Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to address data-related questions and support issue resolution.
  • Contribute to data quality reviews and validation activities to ensure completeness and accuracy of security reference data.
  • Support implementation of both standard and client-specific requirements within established operating models and processes.
  • Participate in occasional weekend conversion events and after-hours implementation activities as required.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Financial Services, Client Onboarding, Middle Office, Security Master, Reference Data, or related operational functions.
  • Implementation, conversion, or project coordination experience preferred.
  • Required Skills
  • Working knowledge of Capital Markets, Securities Master, Reference Data, Middle Office Operations, and/or IBOR/ABOR concepts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience identifying issues and driving resolution with appropriate guidance and oversight.
  • Knowledge of data quality concepts and reference data processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and project tracking tools such as JIRA or similar platforms.
  • Basic understanding of databases, SQL, and data management concepts preferred.
