As part of the Professional Services organization within Mercatus, the primary goal of the Principal Consultant is to ensure successful Implementation and Configuration Services (ICS) to meet customer requirements while promoting adoption and enabling sales of other company software and services. This role handoffs a client from a finalized Sales contract to onboarding (a consulting engagement that could last several months). As a senior member of a high-growth team, this person may also support business development throughout the sales process. The role combines elements of Sales, Client Management, and Operations and collaborates across the company to gain broad exposure to the business. The Principal Consultant is the key interface to customer success and will engage with large private markets funds and multinational companies. Delivery to client goals and acting as a trusted advisor are central to this role. The VP level handles more complex, strategic clients.

The team is part of Charles River Development (CRD), which became part of State Street in 2018. CRD creates enterprise investment management software for institutional clients, wealth management, and hedge funds. Together we launched the first open front-to-back platform, State Street Alpha, in 2019. Join us if delivering next‐generation infrastructure with emerging technologies like AI and blockchain excites you.

Design deployment outcomes with heavy focus on end visuals in Business Intelligence for client reporting/analysis. Define deployment options for customer and outline key advantages / disadvantages. Coordinate individual Business Managers responsible for various elements of customer integration. Deliver final configuration to customer and complete onboarding. Establish plan for Organization Change Management (OCM) within the customer org, including leading Live Training and supporting post-ICS adoption with the Account Manager.
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities for other Software or Services within current customers through ICS engagements. Drive proofs-of-concepts for specific functional groups to illustrate deployments and value of SaaS. Lead Trial account engagements for prospecting customers.
