This is a newly created, critical, Service Assurance role covering both Product and Projects. The role ensures that Products and Projects are fit for Production and all preparatory work has been completed to ensure a successful transition into Business-as-Usual. It collaborates with Engineering, Product, and Project teams to ensure this is the case. The role engages throughout the Product and Project lifecycle ensuring Operational needs are met, testing is effective and operability is assured. It collaborates with operational teams to ensure detailed review and approvals including DBA, Support, Operations, On boarding, and Upgrade teams.
This role manages a small team of analysts and PMO. The role interacts with State Street governance and senior leadership.
The role will deliver:
- Provide end-to-end assurance of operational readiness
- Track and monitor incoming Projects and Product Releases
- Perform risk reviews on major global activities and apply appropriate governance
- Feed production-incident insights into avoidance and improvement strategies
- Drive best-practice evolution across operational processes
- Integrate incident intelligence into Product development cycles
- Produce reporting for senior and executive management
- Conduct detailed SME reviews of products and projects
- Recommend and support adjustments to Project structure or approach when required
- Manage the Service Assurance process efficiently and on schedule
- Maintain scorecards for assessed activities
- Escalate risks when necessary
- Deliver monthly status reporting
- Issue situational Red Notices to highlight elevated risks to executive leadership
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in technical fields such as Finance, Economics, Mathematical Finance, Computer Information Systems, or relevant field
- Seven (7) years of overall work experience
- Experience of Technical Project Management
- Preference for Technical or hands-on Operational background
- Understanding of risks of Product Build and Product implementation from a structural and a technical perspective
Skills & Key Activities:
- General Management level thinking, demonstrates perceptive skills of situations, can see the larger picture of issues
- Experience of OMS or Product development is advantageous
