Wealth Custody and Clearing is seeking a Vice President of Product Management to drive the global product build‑out for our introducing broker‑dealer and wealth custody platform.

This Vice President will be responsible for end‑to‑end product ownership—including design, development, third‑party integrations, and ongoing enhancement of key platform capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience across account onboarding, cash management, transfers, trading, rebalancing, performance reporting, fee‑billing, clearing, and third‑party integrations, with a proven track record of launching and scaling innovative wealth and custody solutions across multiple markets.

A strong background in leveraging AI to drive product innovation and operational efficiency is essential.

This role reports to Wealth Custody and Clearing, Managing Director of Product Management & Strategy and will be based in London, United Kingdom or another strategic global location.

The Product organisation is recruiting for an experienced individual covering wealth services, wealth custody & clearing, platform development.

The individual will partner with the teams to focus on the development of the global/localization of the wealth‑services functions and associated services; in alignment with Custody product to strengthen State Street’s position in the industry.

State Street’s product organisation is leading an exciting period of growth for the business and requires experienced individuals to support the business.

The role will initiate and support designing and development of support upstream and downstream interfaces with global custody platform, involvement with design of the core wealth platform.

This will be key to support client growth, enhance client experience and operating model.

This requires ability to perform as a Product Owner, Product Manager and Strategic Visionary for Agile teams and manage the collection of input from subject matter experts, operations teams, compliance teams, product managers, client service teams and/or our clients for the purpose of developing complete and substantive business requirements in support of the wealth custody & clearing business line.

Development of efficient operating models, user journeys, process maps, user interfaces, and operational flows that include effective business controls will be a job function of the successful candidate.

  • What You Will Be Responsible For
  • Own the end‑to‑end product lifecycle for multiple components of the wealth custody and clearing platform, from ideation and design through launch, enhancement, and sunset.
  • Support the buildout of new product capabilities, examples include trading, rebalancing, account onboarding, cash management, performance reporting, fee‑billing, and advisor/client‑facing tools.
  • Drive the integration of third‑party solutions, APIs, and fintech partnerships to expand platform capabilities and accelerate time‑to‑market.
  • Champion the adoption of AI and advanced analytics to enhance product features, automate workflows, and optimize client and advisor experiences.
  • Work closely with internal engineering teams to prioritize product features, manage development sprints, and ensure alignment between product vision and technical execution.
  • Manage third‑party product roadmaps, collaborating with external partners to ensure deliverables are aligned, delivered on time, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with technology, operations, compliance, and business development teams to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments to ensure our platform remains innovative and differentiated.
  • Engage with clients, advisors, and partners to gather feedback, validate product concepts, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare presentations for executive leadership, boards, and external stakeholders on product vision, strategy, and performance.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and accountability within the product organization.
  • Support the development and analysis of product‑related change, including commercially‑viable and client‑focused business cases, with prioritization and approval of product, operational and regulatory change.
  • Support design and efficiency of the operating model, standards and technical stack/architecture, with an objective to simplify where possible working with the Product Management, Technology and Global Delivery.

The person would have the depth and expertise to effectively develop requirements solutions such as write stories, develop and groom backlog for development required for development of the solution, migration and integration with global custody and have the SME knowledge to execute on the development initiatives and agenda described above.

The role will support the lead.

The person would focus on driving the development of the localization of the wealth technology for the markets that are being targeted.

  • Ability to apply knowledge of business processes as well as industry knowledge and best practices to design and test solutions
  • Ability to clearly articulate impact of any changes to team members, testers and business end users to ensure that testing and acceptance processes are completed successfully; ability to train and develop these skills in more junior team members or direct reports
  • Ability to oversee, review and edit documentation to ensure completeness and clarity prior to submitting for use in developing solutions
  • Ability to write Agile stories and epics, establish a backlog and groom that backlog is desired as is experience with developing these skills in our global team
  • Work well within a virtual team that includes members from across State Streets global operations, product and IT development teams, contractors, software vendors and other industry participants to design, develop, test and implement solutions that support current and future business requirements

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with an ability to navigate organization through the solution delivery cycle

Experience

  • Product and operational background or experience in wealth arena is desirable
  • Experience with implementing change and development of platforms
  • Agile experience as a Product Owner or Principal Product Owner is desired
  • Seasoned VP with 7‑10+ years’ experience in Wealth Management, Financial Services, Securities Industry or Technology
  • Operated at a global level
