Global Cybersecurity (GCS) protects State Street and its clients from the impact of cyber-attacks against systems by understanding the risks these attacks present and mitigating them through a robust, continuously evolving, cybersecurity program and control environment.

Reporting to the Head of Identity & Access Management, the Head of Privileged and Infrastructure Access Management, MD will lead the strategic direction, development, and implementation of the bank's Privileged and Infrastructure Access program. This role is critical in ensuring the secure management of privileged and machine identities, authentication, and authorization across all infrastructure platforms channels. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments, including Platform Engineering, End User Computing, Production management and the application development community to enhance the bank's privileged access management program.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and lead the global Infrastructure Access Management strategy aligned with enterprise cybersecurity, IAM, and risk management objectives. Represent PAM in internal governance forums and external regulatory engagements.
  • Program Ownership: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of privileged and infrastructure access, including onboarding, provisioning, session management, monitoring, and deprovisioning. Drive modernization and automation initiatives, including vaulting, just-in-time (JIT) access, and zero trust implementations.
  • Technology & Architecture: Oversee the architecture, engineering, and operations of PAM platforms. Partner with infrastructure, cloud, and DevSecOps teams to integrate PAM into hybrid and cloud-native environments.
  • Risk & Compliance: Ensure alignment with global regulatory requirements (e.g., FFIEC, EBA, MAS, APRA, etc.) and internal policies. Manage audit readiness, response, and remediation related to privileged access.
  • People & Stakeholder Management: Lead and develop a high-performing, globally distributed PAM team. Partner with application owners, IT operations, risk, and compliance to embed PAM controls across the enterprise.
  • Metrics & Continuous Improvement: Define and track KPIs and KRIs for PAM effectiveness and risk reduction. Continuously assess and improve PAM processes, technology posture, and user experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education & Certification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GIAC, or vendor certifications like CyberArk Defender/Sentry).
  • Experience: 10+ years in information security, with 5+ years specifically leading privileged access or identity security functions in complex, regulated environments. Demonstrated success leading PAM in a multinational financial institution or critical infrastructure context. Deep knowledge of PAM technologies, zero trust principles, and identity governance integration.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of regulatory expectations in financial services related to identity and access. Ability to influence across technical and executive audiences globally. Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and execution skills.
