Who we are looking for
This is an excellent opportunity to work within an operational team responsible for processing international cash payment transactions. Responsibilities include effectively managing daily GBP activity between State Street and the UK Market (Via CHAPS), providing Network Controller coverage to the domestic USD market, monitoring & processing all international payment queues for last touch cash, exception management, processing cancelation & amendment instructions and any other payment related functions supported by Global Delivery – Payments.

What you will be responsible for
As Payments Associate you will
-
Manage day to day GBP payment flows and balances through the UK CHAPS scheme

Participate in mandatory market/industry testing throughout the year
-
Provide US Network Controller coverage for the domestic USD Market

Monitor & process all activity in a variety of payment queues and systems accurately, timely and by agent bank deadlines

Efficiently assist internal and external clients with complex research, queries and issues

Ensure errors and exposure to financial loss are minimized

Be aware of all business continuity plans and escalate issues that could involve invoking of contingency procedures to the supervisor

Support the effective functioning of the global team and the transition of workflow between different geographical locations
What we value

Previous experience of working within a CHAPS clearing environment highly advantageous
