The Client Enablement/Solutions Architecture, Middle Office position at Charles River Development is an active, hands-on role centered on designing and developing product solutions. This professional will offer business leadership and coordinate major product initiatives across multiple departments, covering aspects like design, integration patterns, and implementing new or existing components in collaboration with the product management team. Key duties include creating client solutions using Charles River's resources and planning future architectural directions for these offerings. The role also serves as an internal advocate for this product area, supporting sales efforts, implementation plans, and overall business development.

The team is crucial for reaching the primary goals of Charles River and State Street Alpha. Clients are looking for improved solutions that include new features and strategic partnerships. The Investment Management Solution delivers strong, market leading capabilities to its users. Charles River's Middle Office focused solutions represent an important advancement in Investment Management Solution capabilities. This role aims to deliver middle office solutions for clients and prospects that are thorough, well-rounded, and carefully consider integration strategies with respect to a client's operating model/footprint.

As a Solutions Architect (Middle Office) within the Client Enablement department, your responsibilities include:

• Shaping and implementing the firm's strategic vision concerning Middle Office capabilities and solutions, both through organic growth and partnerships.
• Providing business leadership, offering design and solution feedback, and coordinating efforts across product and development teams.
• Contributing to the short- and long-term product roadmap for enhancements.
• Building relationships as a primary client contact for gathering feedback and evaluating solutions.
• Assessing potential partnerships and assisting in managing partner relationships within the Alpha Ecosystem.
• Collaborating with technical and development counterparts to maximise team efficiency and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Coordinating engagement among Client Management, Sales, Professional Services, Support, and internal stakeholders to boost client satisfaction and drive product adoption.
• Working closely with Marketing and Product Strategy to ensure the product vision is clearly communicated and understood.
• Leading medium to large initiatives from inception through completion.

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

• Over 10 years in product management leadership, focusing on product planning and execution.
• Extensive financial services experience, especially in middle office technology and operations management.
• Hands-on Middle Office work: investment accounting, IBOR, position keeping, reconciliation, and similar tasks.
• Strong analytical skills: adept at interpreting client needs and designing solutions.
• Familiar with asset class behaviour across equities, fixed income, FX, OTC securities, private assets, and traditional buy-side asset types.
• Understanding of order management, compliance, data, and portfolio management.
• Knowledgeable about Agile Software Development Lifecycle.
• Excellent communication, organisation, team planning, and mobilisation abilities.

Education & Preferred Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics or Business Degree (Finance, Accounting, Economics or related).
• Advanced degree preferred - MBA or professional certification (CFA, CPA, CIPM).
