Global Head of Professional Services - (CRPM), Charles River Development, Managing Director

Overview

As part of the Professional Services organization within CRPM (Charles River Private Markets), the Global PS Director ensures successful Professional Services (PS) delivery to meet customer requirements, promote adoption, and support the sale of other company Software and Services. The role handoffs clients from a final Sales contract to onboarding and ongoing PS engagements, which can last several months. As the senior regional leader, this person may support business development throughout the sales process and lead PS scope definition, team assignment, and development. The Global PS Director serves as the key interface to customer success, with exposure to large private markets funds and multinational companies. The primary objective is delivery: lead execution to achieve client goals while acting as a trusted advisor. This role oversees all Professional Services work within the region and supports business development to scope and close new clients.

Responsibilities

• Own PS teams and program management for Professional Services deployment.
• Oversee a global portfolio of clients and PS teams within regions; assign and monitor progress for each client.
• Forecast global PS work and maintain staffing plans to facilitate planned work.
• Hire staff and ensure proper training, motivation, and mentorship.
• Achieve PS revenue goals and utilization targets; maintain an ultimate ownership of client delivery.
• Review implementation status, resolve issues, and work hands-on with clients to achieve success toward outcomes, budget, and timelines.
• Maintain a utilization target of 20% and ensure PS processes and staff adhere to policies and procedures.
• Oversee Data Management Services (DMS) scale and hiring plans as appropriate.
• Support business development: collaborate with Sales/Marketing, scope new clients, and define PS requirements for prospective engagements.
• Coordinate with Product Management on roadmap, timelines, and client commitments based on direct client feedback and strategic clients.
• Identify opportunities for new lines of Services or adjustments to pricing, processes, or delivery within existing services.
• Engage with clients to support proofs-of-concept or demos for specific functional groups to facilitate successful deployments.
• Assist in creating case studies for industry publication and sales collateral.

Qualifications and Experience

• 10+ years’ experience implementing SaaS solutions for private equity funds, i-banks, or Fortune 500 companies.
• Experience in infrastructure investments, private equity diligence, fund management, or process consulting.
• Experience leading change management across large enterprises (50+ people across regions).
• 3+ years’ experience managing cross-functional and multi-regional teams.
• Ability to communicate effectively from C-level to entry-level staff; strong interpersonal skills for client relationships.
• Analytical with strong problem-solving skills; detail-oriented and process-efficient.
• Experience with Business Intelligence dashboards and data modeling is highly preferred.
• Experience delivering corporate training, proofs-of-concept, and promoting software usage is preferred.
• Education: Degree in finance or business preferred; CAIA or CFA designation highly preferred.
• Ability to travel approximately 30% for customer engagements, including international travel.
• Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
