About the role

Markets Operations Platforms brings together critical products and shared capabilities across Agency Lending and wider Markets Operations, spanning platforms, data, workflows and engineering teams. As Enterprise Product Manager, you will set direction across this portfolio, connect workstreams and focus teams on measurable outcomes. Working across Operations, Design, Engineering, Architecture, Delivery and application owners, you will create the shared context needed to solve the right problems and build solutions that can evolve.

What you’ll do

  • Understand users and set direction
Build a deep understanding of Operations users, workflows, pain points and information needs through engagement, observation, data and feedback. Turn priority opportunities into clear, testable problems, then define a compelling portfolio vision, measurable outcomes and an enduring product strategy.
  • Lead discovery and prioritisation
Lead continuous discovery with Operations, Design, Architecture and Engineering, testing value, usability, feasibility and viability. Make evidence-led trade-offs across user impact, strategic fit, dependencies, cost and time-to-value, using focused increments to accelerate learning.
  • Align the portfolio and empower teams
Maintain the end-to-end view across journeys, platforms, data and integrations, resolving gaps, overlaps, dependencies and competing assumptions. Give empowered teams clear outcomes and guardrails while clarifying decision rights across enterprise product management, product owners, application owners, architects and delivery leads.
  • Measure and improve
Define measures for adoption, journey performance, service quality, efficiency and target-state progress. Use telemetry, user feedback and operational evidence to evaluate releases, refine priorities and drive continuous improvement.

Role boundaries

The role is accountable for portfolio coherence and outcomes. It partners with, but does not absorb, the responsibilities below.

  • Business / Operations Product
Business outcomes, operating model, process decisions and adoption. Aligns outcomes, validates user value and shapes the joint roadmap.
  • Engineering Leads
Execution, quality, technical delivery and team health. Provides product context and agrees value, scope and sequencing trade-offs.
  • Architecture and Data
Target architecture, solution integrity, data design and standards. Ensures choices support the product strategy and end-to-end journey.
  • Workstream Product Owners
Day-to-day product decisions and backlog clarity. Sets portfolio context, resolves cross-product conflicts and maintains outcome alignment.
  • Delivery / Programme Management
Plans, milestones, dependencies and delivery governance. Uses delivery insight to inform trade-offs while retaining focus on outcomes and learning.

What you’ll bring

  • Strong product judgement, curiosity about users and confidence making evidence-led decisions.
  • Ability to set direction and make thoughtful trade-offs across stakeholders and technology domains.
  • Credibility with senior Operations, Product, Design, Architecture, Data and Engineering leaders.
  • Inclusive, influential leadership, systems thinking and clear communication.

Experience that will help you succeed

  • Significant product management experience across complex enterprise products, platforms or portfolios.
  • A track record of leading strategy and discovery across connected products or multiple engineering teams.
  • Experience with operational technology, workflow or data products, internal platforms or enterprise transformation.
  • Evidence of moving teams from feature delivery to measurable outcomes using research, telemetry and operational data.
  • Financial services, securities finance, asset servicing, Agency Lending or Markets Operations experience is valuable, but not essential.

Success in the role

  • Success dimension
    Evidence of progress
  • Direction
Teams understand the shared vision, priority outcomes and how their work contributes.
  • User value
Priority capabilities are shaped through discovery and validated with users.
