Data Integrations and Governance Lead

Who we are looking for

We are seeking an experienced leader to guide a team of Alpha\’s practice leads in integrating and validating accounting data into our ADP platform. This role involves managing teams working with operations, technology, and clients on strategic projects to develop a top-tier data platform.

The candidate will interface with data experts and sourcing resources, assisting in data validation and serving as a subject matter expert across the organization. Responsibilities include development scheduling, prioritization, and requirements gathering with Alpha Data Platform product teams.

Why this role is important to us

Normalized accounting data sets (ABOR/IBOR) are crucial to the Alpha Data Platform and overall strategy. We source data from multiple internal and external sources, making it accessible to clients. Validating this data is key, as clients will access their data directly in ADP.

What you will be responsible for

• Managing a team of Practice Leads and SMEs to achieve organizational goals.
• Developing strategy and product roadmaps.
• Leading design and implementation projects for data flow and accuracy, collaborating with operations, clients, and technology.
• Analyzing technical solutions to business requirements and working with teams to define requirements.
• Developing data and functional requirements, and estimating deployment of new capabilities.
• Participating in information delivery and BI strategy sessions.
• Conducting data analysis, profiling, and mapping.
• Collaborating with data experts and sourcing teams for data validation.
• Supporting the development of conceptual and logical data models.
• Performing gap analysis on complex financial data.

• Ensuring project activities are customer-focused, results-oriented, and compliant with all requirements.
• Applying analytical and creative thinking to improve performance.
• Evaluating and documenting current and future business processes aligned with strategic goals.
• Supporting user training, documentation, and rollout.
• Managing overall project and business strategy related to information delivery.
• Maintaining effective relationships with teams and clients.

What we value

• Experience managing teams of Business Analysts, Project Managers, and SMEs.
• Ability to analyze entity-relationship diagrams and data models.
• Excellent business writing, process modeling, and communication skills.
• Understanding of SDLC or Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation.
• Knowledge of financial reporting, BI, and data warehousing principles.
• Familiarity with BI/reporting tools.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor\’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, MIS, IT, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in data analysis or client reporting.
