Overview
Role: Associate Client Manager within the Charles River Investment Management System (CR IMS) Relationship Management team.
The role focuses on ownership of key client relationships, deepening engagement, delivering high-quality service, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring client needs align with organizational objectives and regulatory standards.
The position includes hands-on project management for client-led initiatives and collaboration across CRD product, implementation, technology, and State Street service teams to deliver strong client outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Co-manage a portfolio of existing clients in partnership with the relationship managing director.
- Serve as the point of contact for front-office stakeholders; build and maintain strong, long-term relationships based on trust and value.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients’ investment workflows, operating models, and strategic priorities.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service and timely resolution of client issues.
- Lead key CRD initiatives on behalf of clients and coordinate across CRD to ensure high-quality delivery for both BAU and change initiatives.
- Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies clearly with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Assist the internal Sales team to identify and foster revenue opportunities, including additional modules, services, or training.
- Maintain awareness of market and industry trends relevant to CRD and the client base; stay up-to-date with current offerings and upgrades.
- Support understanding and usage of Charles River IMS (CR IMS) and related products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across CRD to achieve delivery outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in relationship management, client coverage, delivery, or product roles within financial services or fintech.
- Working knowledge of Charles River Development (CR IMS) or similar front-office platforms (OMS, EMS, compliance, IBOR).
- Ability to foster relationships across client organizations, including decision-makers and end users.
- Experience managing client-facing projects, including implementations or change initiatives.
- Experience working with asset managers; commercial awareness with revenue growth and client negotiations.
- Bachelor’s degree required; project management certification (PMP, Prince2, Agile) a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point) and tools such as Power BI.
- Ability to travel to client sites 20%–40% per calendar year.
- Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently and as part of a team; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
