Overview
As VP, Product Management for GL Pay at State Street, you will guide the product strategy for an institutional cross-border payments platform. You’ll drive roadmap execution, expand offerings to new markets, and enhance client experience, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You will blend product leadership with business analysis and payments domain knowledge to evolve a strategic growth platform. This is a high-impact role that touches technology, operations, risk, and legal to deliver scalable, compliant solutions.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales and product leads to execute the GL Pay roadmap and strategy.
- Define, prioritize, and deliver new capabilities and enhancements.
- Manage backlogs, requirements, and release plans within Agile delivery.
- Partner with Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Sales to ensure delivery success.
- Gather and validate business, client, operational, and regulatory requirements.
- Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specs.
- Support sprint planning, testing, release readiness, and post-launch activities.
- Ensure solutions align with business objectives and client needs.
- Support product launches and expansion into new markets and jurisdictions.
- Assess regulatory requirements and operational impacts with cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to business cases, procedures, risk assessments, and launch docs.
- Support initiatives involving cross-border payments, payment regulations, and financial messaging standards.
- Support governance, risk management, audit, and compliance activities.
- Prepare materials for executive reviews and governance forums.
- Communicate roadmap progress and key priorities to stakeholders.
- Participate in client discussions, product demonstrations, and requirements workshops.
Key requirements
- Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field
- 7+ years in Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Payments, Treasury, FX, or related fields
- Strong understanding of cross-border payments, treasury operations, and financial messaging standards (SWIFT, ISO 20022)
- Experience gathering requirements, managing backlogs, and delivering in Agile environments
- Proven ability to collaborate across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Legal
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
