What we are looking forThe Charles River Development (CRD) Middle Office Product Team is seeking to hire a business analyst who will be responsible for helping the team deliver strategic product solutions to support our clients’ evolving business needs, meet regulatory requirements, and maintain a comprehensive and competitive product offering. You will become a Charles River product expert and help to ensure that our software effectively aids our end users with their middle office workflows. Your focus will be on the Corporate Actions module which handles all corporate action event processing, and corporate action elections workflows. You will participate in the full software development lifecycle, and contribute as a member of a feature-focused product development team. You must be familiar with both financial and technical concepts, and have a strong ability to deliver against specific requirements within planned timelines.Why this job is important to usAt Charles River Development (CRD) we’ve been creating some of the most insightful and complex asset management technologies since 1997. By joining the Middle Office team, you will use advanced technology and critical thinking to challenge the status quo and drive results.This role requires hybrid work model (at least 4 days in the office per week).Responsibilities:Apply detailed knowledge and understanding of corporate actions processing and election workflows to assist in product development and advance the product roadmapProduce business and technical requirement documents based on product roadmap, competitive analysis, and understanding of market and regulatory trendsAnalyze corporate actions data and assist with data mapping exercises for system integrations.Work directly with customers to gather product requirements and develop feature specificationsPartner with engineering and QA to help develop, implement, and refine featuresPlan and schedule validation tasks; Assist with testing requirements, plans, and exercises as neededEnsure accurate and complete documentation for product features and workflowsProvide client beta testing support and train personnel on capabilities of new product releasesAssist with the management of project schedules and deliverablesAssist implementation and support to investigate and resolve critical client issuesActively participate in the Agile software development process by adhering to the CRD Scrum Methodology including attending all agile ceremonies and adhering to SDLC guidelines Requirements:5+ years of product development experience, specifically Agile development methodologies and familiarity with tools such as JiraStrong understanding of corporate actions processing across all mandatory and voluntary event types.Understanding of corporate actions market dataFamiliarity corporate actions elections processesUnderstanding of corporate actions SWIFT messagingDemonstrated ability translating business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical product specification documentsAbility to take initiative and work independentlyStrong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation skillsAdvanced writing skills, including the ability to abstract/summarize highly detailed informationStrong analytical skills, including understanding complex data sets and the ability to reconcile conflicting dataStrong technical background and ability to communicate with engineers, including familiarity with SQL. Knowledge of cloud architecture a plusKnowledgeable in one or more CRD functional areas and/or State Street Alpha desirableEducation: BS Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or study of Business with an MIS background.
