Overview
In this Data Analyst role, you will reinforce data integrity and availability across investment, risk, compliance, and client reporting functions within the Alpha Data Platform.
You will work with internal teams, clients, and prospects to mitigate data-related risks in modelling, trading, and regulatory reporting.
The position sits in a data operations and governance model, driving data quality improvements and issue remediation.
You’ll partner with BAU and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data enrichment and platform reliability, impacting decision support and client service.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and validate reference data quality across CRD (securities, issuers, pricing, curves)
- Investigate data exceptions and resolve breaks impacting trading and downstream processes
- Perform root cause analysis and drive remediation of recurring data issues
- Support implementation of data quality rules, controls, and governance frameworks
- Manage security master and reference data within Charles River (CRIMS)
- Maintain instrument setup, market/broker/settlement data, pricing/curve data, and configuration/validation rules
- Execute BAU data updates, bulk uploads, and configuration changes per governance standards
- Support Start-of-Day data readiness, pre-batch checks, batch monitoring, and post-batch validation
- Ensure data is complete and fit for front office consumption; monitor batch cycles and resolve failures prior to trading
- Develop and maintain dashboards/reports with Insights & Analytics teams to track data availability
- Provide client support through EDM professional services and Model office teams; assist in data validation automation
- Liaise with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver timely solutions
- Support timely delivery of data solutions and changes to clients with accurate data
- Key requirements
- Strong experience with Order Management Systems (AIM, Charles River, Aladdin)
- Expertise in security master and reference data management
- Understanding of front-to-back investment data flows (Front/Middle/Back Office)
- Hands-on data quality, exception handling, reconciliation, and root cause analysis
- Proficient in SQL and data analysis techniques
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities; high attention to detail
- Effective communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Proactive mindset for continuous improvement
