Role OverviewState Street Investment Management is seeking a senior investment leader to serve as Head of Portfolio Management, EMEA & APAC, Systematic Equity.

This role leads portfolio management across Europe, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific regions, ensuring globally consistent investment execution while adapting to regional markets and regulatory environments.You will be responsible for overseeing regional portfolio management teams and processes, supporting client engagement and product growth, and driving operational improvement across diverse markets.This position reports directly to the Chief Investment Officer of Systematic Equity.Key ResponsibilitiesRegional Portfolio Management LeadershipLead portfolio management teams across EMEA and APAC, ensuring consistent and disciplined implementation of strategies.Oversee regional execution of portfolio construction, trading coordination, and compliance with client and regulatory requirements.Align regional processes with global investment frameworks while accommodating local market structure.Act as the senior escalation point for regional portfolio and implementation issues.Client & Commercial EngagementRepresent Systematic Equity with key clients, prospects, and consultants across the region.Partner with regional Client Coverage and Product teams to support business development and client retention.Translate global investment strategies into regionally relevant client solutions.Support complex mandates and contribute to regional thought leadership efforts.Product Development & GrowthIdentify and develop new Systematic Equity strategies aligned with regional client demand and regulatory considerations.Support sales growth through investment expertise, product positioning, and customized solutions.Collaborate globally to scale products across markets while maintaining consistency and efficiency.Risk, Compliance & GovernanceEnsure strong adherence to regional regulatory requirements and global risk standards.Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams across jurisdictions.Oversee investment and operational risk management across multiple markets.Participate in regional and global governance forums.Process Improvement & Operating ModelDrive improvements in efficiency, scalability, and consistency of portfolio management processes across regions and strategies.Promote automation, data-driven decision-making, and operational enhancements.Partner with Systematic Equity CIO, Head of US Portfolio Management, Technology, Trading, and Operations to streamline workflows and improve execution, while developing new / improved operating model while ensuring regional alignment.Talent & Organizational LeadershipLead and develop geographically distributed teams across EMEA and APAC.Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.Support talent development, mobility, and integration with global teams.Financial ManagementManage regional budgets, resources, and investment priorities.Support profitability through disciplined cost management and scalable processes.Align resource deployment with regional growth and strategic priorities.What We ValueDeep expertise in systematic/quantitative equity investingExperience leading teams across multiple regions and culturesStrong understanding of global markets and regulatory environmentsCommercial orientation with client-facing experienceAbility to balance global consistency with regional needsStrong leadership, communication, and decision-making skillsEducation & Experience15–20+ years in investment management, preferably systematic or quantitative equityExperience leading teams across EMEA and/or APACSolid understanding of regional institutional markets and regulationsProven experience in client engagement and product developmentCFA, MBA, or equivalent strongly preferredAbout State StreetAcross the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability.
