In this role you will lead the end-to-end design and delivery of the Alpha Data Platform (ADP) and ADS solutions for clients, guiding pre-sales diligence and full implementation. You will act as the client-facing architect, aligning Alpha architecture with client needs and coordinating across internal teams. You will own architecture design, environment setup, and go-live activities, while ensuring post-go live support and continuous improvement. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role at the core of the Alpha data platform strategy.

Be the face of ADS to client Chief Data Architects and data teams during Alpha journey and adoption.

  • Provide thought leadership through due diligence and implementation by mapping Alpha architecture to client architecture.
  • Own end-to-end solutioning for Front-to-Back Alpha Data Platform and ADS, from pre-contract diligence to post go-live support.
  • Document Target Data Solution Architecture and Future State Operating Model of Data services; design solutions and environments; develop custom components.
  • Lead Go Live activities and post Go Live hyper-care support; manage data solutioning for large or multiple clients.
  • Collaborate with upstream application/system owners to integrate into ADP using standard models.
  • Design and implement data flows across sources to the target client consumption layer; identify gaps and propose interim solutions with Product/Service Practice.
  • Coordinate with wider State Street teams and external vendors to deliver client requirements and bespoke solutions.
  • Support defect resolution with development teams; understand root causes and ensure fixes.
  • Contribute to SOPs and ensure adoption; engage L2/L4 support and ensure proper coverage.
  • Engage external vendors (Bloomberg, Refinitive, MSCI, Factset, Axioma, etc.) for client implementations.
  • Collaborate with Client Implementation Executives to align on Alpha implementation activities.
  • Provide ongoing data governance, lineage, and monitoring awareness within solutions.
  • Maintain awareness of data management best practices and security considerations.

Tasks:

  • Excellent communication across all levels, including C-suite.
  • Hands-on ETL, Snowflake, CI/CD pipelines, SQL, Data Quality rules, and data-readiness design.
  • Relational data modeling for audit, time series, complex relationships, high-volume datasets.
  • System performance profiling for complex data models.
  • Extensive experience with Financial Services data domains (Security Master, Entity Master, Benchmarks, Positions, Transactions, Cash, Performance, Analytics, ESG).
  • Knowledge of Data Management, Data Governance, Service Catalogue, Data Lineage tools, Operational Dashboards, Process Monitoring tools.
  • Working knowledge of Azure/AWS cloud platforms; Snowflake and Databricks experience is highly valued.
  • Understanding of data integrations, triage, and solutioning data problems; ability to propose practical fixes.
  • Experience with ML/AI in Data Management within Finance is a plus.
  • Prior experience with State Street and/or CRD, BlackRock Aladdin or similar OMS is a plus.
  • Bachelor-level degree in Computer Science, Data Management or related financial services field.
