Provide project management and direction from inception to completion of projects. Be the primary contact in concert with the Project Management Administrative Engineer and Assistant District Engineer for other public agencies, special interest groups and the public regarding project activities. Establish effective long-term relationships with local units of government. Provide overall direction and leadership to technical project teams in the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques in the management of project activities for minor, moderate and major scale projects to meet the project requirements.

Ensure consistency with MnDOT strategy, commitments and goals; and ensure proper program execution and compliance with MnDOT, state and federal procedures, practices, regulations, and standards. Manage the District’s project controls section. This position is located in Rochester and has the flexibility to telecommute, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to sign a telework agreement.

Licensure as a professional Engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID) is required. Three (3) years of post-registration engineering experience at the Engineer Senior level (or equivalent) that demonstrates a thorough knowledge of all phases of program delivery including scoping, pre-design, final design and construction.

All candidates must submit to a background investigation prior to employment. The background check may include one or all of the following components: SEMA4 Records Check, Criminal History Check, Employment Reference Check, Education/License Verification, Driver's License Check.
