About the Role
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Revit Technician to join our growing UK Landscape Architecture practice. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality landscape and public realm projects across RIBA Work Stages 1-6, working closely with Landscape Architects, Architects, Engineers, BIM Coordinators, and external consultants. You will play a key role in developing BIM models, producing coordinated drawing packages, and ensuring technical accuracy throughout the design and construction process. This role is ideal for someone with strong Autodesk Revit skills, a good understanding of UK construction standards, and experience delivering projects within a BIM environment.
Key Responsibilities
- RIBA Stage 1 - Preparation & Brief
- Assist in preparing project BIM models and templates.
- Set up Revit files in accordance with company BIM standards.
- Support site analysis drawings and existing condition models.
- Coordinate survey information and base drawings.
- RIBA Stage 2 - Concept Design
- Develop concept landscape models in Revit.
- Produce presentation plans, sections and 3D views.
- Coordinate architectural and engineering models.
- Support design reviews and internal coordination meetings.
- RIBA Stage 3 - Spatial Coordination
- Develop coordinated BIM models to agreed Levels of Information Need.
- Produce planning drawings and design development packages.
- Coordinate with architects, structural and civil engineers.
- Resolve model clashes using BIM workflows.
- Ensure compliance with company BIM standards and ISO 19650 processes.
- RIBA Stage 4 - Technical Design
- Produce detailed construction drawings and technical packages.
- Model hard landscape elements, paving, kerbs, walls, drainage interfaces, street furniture and planting layouts.
- Prepare schedules, details and specifications.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary information for tender and construction.
- Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and project specifications.
- RIBA Stage 5 - Manufacturing & Construction
- Update models with contractor information and design changes.
- Produce construction issue drawings and revisions.
- Support site queries and technical information requests (RFIs).
- Attend coordination meetings where required.
- Maintain accurate project documentation throughout construction.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2-5 years' relevant experience using Autodesk Revit in a UK design practice.
- Experience working on landscape architecture, public realm or mixed-use developments.
- Strong understanding of RIBA Work Stages 1-5.
- Knowledge of BIM workflows and ISO 19650 standards.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary Revit models.
- Ability to produce high-quality technical drawing packages.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Civil 3D, Rhino, Enscape or Twinmotion would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
