The Senior Motion Designer will collaborate closely with the creative team and the Design Director to develop concepts, design animations, and ensure that all motion elements align with the project's vision. Role Requirements

  • Collaborate with the creative, strategy, and technology teams to develop and execute motion design elements that meet project objectives and timelines.
  • Animate, edit, and optimise motion graphics, ensuring they align with the project's creative direction and technical specifications.
  • Manage assets and maintain a structured workflow to ensure projects are organised, accessible, and ready for seamless collaboration across teams.
  • Conceptualise motion design ideas through style frames, storyboards, and animatics to communicate your vision to internal teams and clients.
  • Lead the motion design workflow, including planning resources, estimating timelines, and ensuring efficient project delivery.
  • Mentor and guide junior motion designers, fostering their development while maintaining a high standard of creative output across the team.
  • Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing innovative ideas for motion design strategies and creative approaches.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to introduce fresh and cutting-edge practices into the team.

Qualities and Characteristics

  • 5+ years of professional experience in motion design with a portfolio showcasing strong creative and technical abilities across various media formats.
  • Proven expertise in concept development, animation, and design with a keen ability to translate creative briefs into engaging motion graphics that meet project objectives.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and the ability to present ideas and concepts to clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality output and meeting deadlines.
  • Expertise in creating dynamic motion graphics, including animation, kinetic typography, particle effects, and visual storytelling through motion.
  • Advanced proficiency in industry-standard tools such as After Effects, Cinema 4D, Blender, and Adobe Animate.
  • Highly skilled in 2D animation, compositing, and visual effects creation (primarily in After Effects), with experience or proficiency in 3D animation, real-time rendering engines (e.g. Cinema 4D, Blender, Unreal Engine), or virtual production tools being a strong plus.
  • Strong experience with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro, particularly for integrating motion graphics with live-action footage.
  • In-depth knowledge of file formats, codecs, and optimisation techniques to ensure motion graphics perform well across various platforms.
  • A problem-solver with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and maintain smooth operation of motion design systems and software.
  • Continuously explores new creative techniques, tools, and trends, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in motion design.
