We’re currently seeking a Purchasing/Cellar Supervisor, who can coordinate and manage a successful cellar operation to ensure the smooth and efficient Hotel operation.
About you...
- Minimum of 1 year managing the Beverage cellar in Hospitality operations
- Proven track record of managing internal stocktakes and observation of external audits.
- Experience using a diary management system.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills, internally and externally.
- Demonstrate a high level of organisation and time management.
- Excellent record keeping.
- English Language – Native or Bilingual proficiency.
- Experience of using Birch Street Purchasing system and or Ven power stock system would be advantageous.
- Prior experience of rolling out a stock system would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Purchasing Manager in the procurement process by sourcing supplies like food, beverages, and housekeeping materials, handling administrative tasks, and managing supplier relationships.
- Responsible for hotel purchasing, take charge of the Hotel Cellars and take full control of the stocks and deliveries whilst managing budget lines for the cellar.
- Ensure General, Food and Beverage Invoices, Delivery Notes, Requisition Notes are in compliance with Starwood Hotels procedures.
- Manage the cellar budget ensuring all invoices are checked and processed correctly following company policy and deal with any discrepancies of orders and invoices in a swift and efficient manner.
- Ensure orders are based on usage, stock turnover and Cost of Sales Budgetary limits.
- Be present for and oversee all internal and external stocktakes and audits.
- Manage the logistics and distribution of all General and beverage stocks throughout the building and departments.
- Ensure quantity checks are done on all General, Food and Beverage goods received.
- Responsible for daily input of invoices, purchase orders and requisitions, producing management information for better decision making.
- Might be required to work additional hours during Month ends.
- Flexible and willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
- Involves physical moving of heavy objects.
- Report to the Purchasing Manager.
