About Anyscale: At Anyscale, we’re on a mission to democratize distributed computing and make it accessible to software developers of all skill levels. We’re commercializing Ray, a popular open-source project that’s creating an ecosystem of libraries for scalable machine learning. Companies like OpenAI, Uber, Spotify, Instacart, Cruise, and many more, have Ray in their tech stacks to accelerate the progress of AI applications out into the real world. With Anyscale, we’re building the best place to run Ray, so that any developer or data scientist can scale an ML application from their laptop to the cluster without needing to be a distributed systems expert. Proud to be backed by Andreessen Horowitz, NEA, and Addition with $250+ million raised to date.

Anyscale is looking for a Senior Developer Advocate to drive our developer advocacy efforts across EMEA, with a strong focus on AI infrastructure, distributed systems, and AI applications (LLMs and GenAI). This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role. You will own major advocacy initiatives in EMEA, act as a visible technical voice for Ray and Anyscale, and work closely with global DevRel leadership while executing independently in the region.

What You’ll Do

  • Own EMEA Advocacy Execution
    • Execute the EMEA Developer Advocacy strategy in close alignment with the global DevRel team
    • Define, track, and report on KPIs for EMEA advocacy activities (community growth, engagement, content impact, and adoption signals)
    • Design and implement instrumentation to measure and communicate the impact of your work
  • Be a Public Technical Voice
    • Represent Ray and Anyscale across EMEA as a trusted technical advocate
    • Build a strong presence on X, LinkedIn, blogs, and other developer-facing platforms
    • Speak at meetups, conferences, hackathons, and customer events throughout the region
  • Tell Real Developer Stories
    • Partner with external Ray users to produce high-quality technical content, including engineering blogs, talks, and case studies
    • Showcase real-world use cases in AI infrastructure, ML platforms, LLM training, inference, and GenAI workflows
  • Build and Ship Technical Content
    • Collaborate with the Solutions and Engineering teams to build reference implementations, demos, and example applications
    • Stay hands-on with Ray and Anyscale products by writing code, reviewing architectures, and validating technical correctness
  • Grow the Ray Community in EMEA
    • Help nurture and expand Ray’s developer community across Slack, GitHub, discuss.ray.io, and other online channels
    • Engage directly with developers, startups, and enterprise users to gather feedback and surface insights to Engineering and Product
  • Lead Regional, In-Person Engagements
    • Plan and execute EMEA-focused meetups, workshops, hackathons, and regional conference presence
    • Travel regularly across EMEA to engage with users and developer communities (expected travel up to ~30%)

What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive experience in Developer Relations / Developer Advocacy, ideally for open-source or developer-first platforms
  • Strong technical background in distributed systems, data platforms, and machine learning
  • Hands-on software development experience, with the ability to build, assess, and explain real systems
  • Familiarity with modern AI workloads, including LLM training, inference, and GenAI pipelines
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts through writing, speaking, and live demos
  • Comfortable operating independently while collaborating across global, distributed teams
  • Experience engaging developers across multiple countries and cultures in EMEA

Location & Eligibility

  • This role is based in London, UK, with a hybrid work arrangement
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Regular travel across EMEA is expected
