When they do, we help get the right people in the room, run and communicate the response, and provide tools and insights to learn and improve over time.
The Team
Our Sales Engineering team bridges our innovative product and our customers' needs. As technical experts with a deep understanding of incident.io's platform, they work closely with our Account Executives to demonstrate the full potential of our solution. This team excels at translating complex technical concepts into tangible business value, guiding prospects through product evaluations, and crafting tailored solutions. They lead proof of concepts, address integration questions, and provide market feedback to shape our product roadmap. Sales Engineers are crucial in driving deals forward and ensuring customer success from the start.
What you’ll be doing:
- Partner with the sales team to offer technical expertise, build trust, discover business and technical challenges, and design customized solutions using incident.io.
- Maintain deep product knowledge and stay current with industry trends in incident management, DevOps, and SRE practices.
- Identify gaps in the sales process, develop collateral, and help scale knowledge across the GTM team.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to gather customer feedback, shaping our product roadmap and ensuring success.
- As a founding member of our SE team, help shape and develop the function by improving processes and creating sales enablement materials.
What experience you need to be successful:
- Proven experience in a technical pre-sales or solutions engineering role, preferably in B2B SaaS.
- Strong technical aptitude and curiosity about how things work, including our technology and incident management practices.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of explaining complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Passion for continuous learning, seeking challenges, and embracing feedback for improvement.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this role ranges from £65,000 to £75,000 plus commission, determined by experience, skills, location, and market factors. Equity options are also available.
