This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a team at the intersection of technology, operations, and accounting excellence.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Supply Chain and Engineering teams to support operational scalability and determine the appropriate accounting for new products.
  • Develop and maintain standard costing structures, including BOM costing, overhead absorption and variance reporting.
  • Build the revenue recognition framework by identifying performance obligations, transaction prices, and timing of revenue recognition in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Drive the monthly and quarterly close process, including journal entries, system integrations, reconciliations, and manufacturing cost analysis.
  • Lead the development of the inventory accounting and revenue accounting systems for our hardware business.
  • Optimize the ERP and sub-ledger integrations to automate processes.
  • Maintain and track manufacturing equipment and production assets.
  • Provide support for the annual financial statement audit, as well as periodic internal audits.
  • Prepare materials for internal and external reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cost accounting and operational reporting.
  • Identify risks, implement controls, and maintain proper process documentation and evidence in accordance with SOX requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience building and managing accounting teams for product-based businesses, with a hands-on approach.
  • Deep understanding of inventory and revenue accounting under US GAAP and/or IFRS.
  • Expertise with ERP and inventory management systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), and experience implementing or enhancing such systems.
  • Strong analytical and data modeling skills, as well as familiarity with Excel, Google Sheets and databases.
  • Strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced environments, balancing detail orientation with business impact.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts for cross-functional partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent years of experience.
  • ACA/ACCA/CPA (or equivalent) certification preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including managing cost or revenue accounting teams.
  • Background in hardware manufacturing, consumer electronics, or related tech sectors.
  • Experience developing or implementing inventory management systems and how they integrate with ERP platforms.
